Lost is a situation and/or a feeling or both; like your keys or one sock is lost; or I’m lost, what was I thinking or where the hell am I.
Like so much of the English language; lost means a lot of different things to a lot of different people; so what is lost to you may not be lost to me; still at a lost; well lets go see Alice.
Lost is your lost and mine; lost for words; lost in thought, lost in time, lost in space or just lost. You’re standing at the top of the Rabbit hole; once you start down it you are lost around every corner; you’re lost at every fork in the road (crossing that goes in three directions); which way do I go now; well you move on; right direction or wrong; you plow through it like you know where you’re going; but you’re lost; lets face it; that’s life; no one knows where this path will lead them; you know what’s down that road and you don’t want to go there; but you take the high road and I’ll take the low… you know what I mean.
The White Rabbit; do you follow it or not; that’s life; we are all lost in our own way; those that think they’ve never been lost are the ones that are so out of touch with reality that lost would actually be place; and they can’t admit to being in that place. I’m running down the hole at top speed; every corner looks like the last; around this bend I find my keys, around the next I find my sock; but I’m still lost; those objects don’t help me to find myself; they don’t define me or where I am; they don’t have a hold on me.
Balance is an act of trying to keep one foot in the hole and the other on the ground; its a game we play to delude ourselves that we have both feet on the ground.
Is it a Question of Balance? It is Tuesday; but you still don’t know what I’m talking about or why you are reading this; is it a waste of your time? Do you have something more important to do? Maybe find your way around the next corner without this little riddle, could you? No; this isn’t a test nor a question, it’s a fact that lost is what lost does.
Time is an illusion that we keep track of so we don’t get lost in it, space is an illusion that we track so we don’t get lost in it also, so does lost in time and lost in space ever help to find you? You can turn your GPS off now; it will no longer help you.
Can you be so lost that time and space are the same thing?
You need to decide how lost you are and if its a good thing or bad.
Helplessness is a long word for lost, in fact a lot of words describe being lost more accurate then just being lost but add no more information about the fact. Go ask Alice; the White Rabbit wasn’t lost, in fact it knew where it was going having already been there; it knew where it was taking you after having already taken you there; its you that thought you knew who you are, your Alice and Wonderland is the place and the time is all around you, a metaphor? No, its a semaphore, my way of sending you a message through time and space so you can find your way out of the hole; of course there is no way out, so the message is as lost as I am.
